At his installation on June 16, 2018, District 5500 DG Kirk Reed shared his simple but powerful message for the year: Dream Big, Have Fun and Get Stuff Done.

DG Kirk demonstrated getting stuff done by inviting Catalina Rotarian, Sharyn Chesser, to come forward and introduce Lisa Kiser for induction into the Catalina Rotary Club, DG Kirk’s home Club.

Lisa Kiser is a Clinical Instructor at the U of A College of Nursing and recently completed her Ph.D. Lisa assisted in developing and shaping the highly successful VTT GG to Lima Peru 2014-15 and participated in it as well. It was her idea to consider wellness education, Capacitar International, as the intervention strategy.

Lisa’s impressive professional credentials include; Certified Doula and Nurse Midwife, Bilingual Nurse fluent in Spanish, Nurse Practitioner, Human rights advocate and Specialist in handling victims of sexual assault.

Lisa has exemplified Rotary ideals in her many volunteer and professional activities such as her work in soup kitchens and refugee centers in Washington, D.C., Mexican deserts, Nicaraguan trauma centers and the Rotary Ride to End Polio. It is no surprise that she is already a Paul Harris Fellow.
