Integrative Touch for Kids (ITK) is a 501(C)(3) serving families whose children have any type of special health or medical need (including kids with cancers, genetic conditions, autism, cerebral palsy, traumatic stress, and other serious health issues). Applying its pioneered new therapy called Integrative Touch™, they reach 3500 people each year in hospitals, palliative care clinics, and community settings. Thanks to the incredible support of volunteers and contributors, families receive the healing services free of charge.

In 2015 Catalina Rotary (with club, Rotary District 5500 and private funds) created the project Wellness Education for Children and tapped the community for agencies who wanted to engage in a year-long (2016-2017) program of learning wellness (stress reduction) techniques.

ITK enrolled four professionals who immediately embraced the techniques and incorporated them to their services. Now all ITK therapists utilize the techniques. ITK was the designated recipient of Catalina Rotary Club rodeo beer tips in 2017. ITK recognized Catalina Rotary with the “Whole Community Award”. Catalina Rotarians are volunteers for ITK community therapy events, advisors for business plans and growth strategies, fund raisers and serve on the Integrated Medical Team.

ITK wanted to do something meaningful to help our entire community during COVID-19, so they put together a list of wellness resources that they will be updating and adding to on a regular basis. Many of the resources are free; note the special COVID-19 section. Several items listed stem from the Wellness Education for Children project.

ITK’s wellness resources were recently the subject of a news feature on KOLD-TV.
