Rotary tells us to “Be the Inspiration!” This lady is the inspiration. Count the ways — as our president, with her singing, as a mother (and grandmother), with her invocations. And . . . through the art of origami. Join us as M Craig further inspires us to “build bridges through origami.”

M Craig has called Tucson home for 40 years. She and her husband, Steve, have two daughters, Michelle and Stephanie, who are also Rotarians. She is the proud grandma of Ezra, Stephanie and Jesse’s son.

Raised in a multi-cultural Japanese/American Air Force family that traveled throughout the USA and Japan, she was exposed at a young age to the Japanese arts, and chose to study Fine Arts at Mills College, in Oakland, California.

She is active in Tucson’s community as a member of the Southern Arizona Japanese Cultural Coalition. In 2006 she was honored as the Pan Asian Community Alliance Woman of the Year.

M is Past President of the Catalina Rotary Club where she has been a member for 29 years.

M has been an origami enthusiast for more than 50 years. She became a Co-Founder of Tucson Origami Club in 2004.
