Rachel Romero was born and raised on Tucson’s southeast side of town. She and her husband and have 7 children and 11 grandchildren. Rachel still lives in the same neighborhood where she grew up, within the boundaries of her school. Rachel is a product of Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) schools. She is a graduate of the University of Arizona, University of Phoenix, and Northern Arizona University. Rachel was a classroom teacher for 15 years, an elementary and middle school counselor, a dean, and an assistant principal before becoming the principal of Erickson Elementary School in 2019.
