Detective Jennifer Crawford works for the Tucson Police Department and is one of the founding members of SAATURN. SAATURN is the Southern Arizona Anti-Trafficking Response Unit. The unit was originally developed with grant funding and is now a local collaboration between the Tucson Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations. Crawford joined the Tucson Police Department in 1997 and has been a Detective since 2000. Her investigative assignments have included Narcotics, Sex Crimes, Gangs, and Homicide.

Det. Crawford became the primary detective for Human Trafficking investigations for the Tucson Police Department in 2015. She is a core member of the SAATURN collaboration which includes subcommittees on Law Enforcement, High Risk Juveniles, and Training & Outreach. She also has an appointment on the Governor’s Council for Human Trafficking and is cross designated as a Task Force Officer for Homeland Security Investigations. Her current assignment is under the Threat Mitigation Unit which also includes Human Trafficking investigations. Her primary task in the unit, aside from investigations, is to bring awareness to the Tucson community regarding local human trafficking issues and let citizens know how they can help in identifying the problem.
