Covid-19 affected the world including Education. Students and teacher had to shift online at the end of last school year with little preparation. Many districts and schools in Tucson are starting the Fall term online. Learn how online learning has impacted schools, staff and students.

Nicole Coury, is a 2nd grade teacher at Maldonado Elementary School in the Tucson Unified School District. Some of the students in her class are learning English in addition to grade level content. She has just started her fifth year of teaching. Currently she is going to Northern Arizona University to pursue a master’s degree in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in principalship. Nicole is aspiring to be a teacher mentor and eventually a principal. She is president of the Rotaract Club of Tucson. Nicole enjoys hiking, painting, and hanging out with her two cats. She has lived in Tucson her whole life.
