Dr. Walter Betancourt is an Environmental Virologist and Assistant Research Professor at The University of Arizona. He earned his Ph.D. in Marine Science from the University of South Florida. His most recent research has been focused on detection and identification of waterborne viral pathogens and viral surrogates in water reuse systems for potable and non-potable applications.
