Ellie Patterson, Rotary Club of Tucson, is a Past-president of the largest club in Arizona, with a membership of 235. She joined Tucson Rotary in June of 2010 and immediately became an active member, serving as Club Secretary for three years. At the District level, Ellie served as the Global Grants Subcommittee chair for three years, was a PETS facilitator for one year and was the Co-Chair of the Ride To End Polio in El Tour de Tucson for one year. Ellie is a Bequest Society Member at Level 7, a Major Donor, a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and Paul Harris Society Member. She is a current Member of RI Major Gifts Initiative Committee for the Rotary Peace Centers.

In her professional life, Ellie is Co-Owner of The Temp Connection, a locally owned and managed staffing service that she and her business partner started 24 years ago. Ellie’s company has been ranked as one of the top women-owned businesses in Tucson over the past several years and is well known for their commitment and involvement in the local community.

Ellie is an avid cyclist, hiker, skier and community volunteer. She and her husband Tom have three children and six grandchildren living in Tucson and Chandler. She is a former high school teacher and guidance counselor. Ellie completed her undergraduate work at the University of Washington and her graduate work at Eastern Washington University, earning a M. Ed. She decided to move to Tucson in 1982 and she and two other friends biked from Canada to Mexico before arriving in Tucson.
