Born in Lubbock, Texas in 1947, Bob Bishop followed his father in a career in aviation. Bob became known as the builder of the world’s smallest man-carrying jet. He was one of the nation’s best-known air show pilots. For over a decade, he campaigned his jet as the Coors Light Silver Bullet. He flew special low-level operations for the U.S. Department of Defense developing cruise missile defense capabilities for various systems like the Sentinel and Patriot.
In the mid-1980s, Bishop developed a personal growth seminar entitled “Quantum Abundance”. As a member of the Downtown Rotary Club of Eugene, Oregon, during this time, Bishop was selected to facilitate a course teaching capitalism to five of the first Russian business-oriented citizens allowed to leave the Soviet Union during the periods of glasnost and perestroika.
Bob is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Marana and the newest Director of The Rotary Vocational Fund of Arizona. He is a committed donor Rotary International (an 8-year member of the Paul Harris Society) and to the Rotary International Fund. He is convinced that vocational training offers significant benefits to those seeking to better themselves and provide for their families.
