Benefactor

Individual who notifies TRF that he or she has made provision in his or her will or estate plan, or who makes an outright gift of at least $1,000 to the Permanent Fund of TRF.

Bequest Society: Rotary Foundation Bequest Society

Individual or couple who notifies TRF that provision has been made in their will or estate plan of at least $10,000 to the Permanent Fund of TRF. BS1 = 1st Level bequest, BS2 = 2nd Level, etc.

Major Donor

TRF recognizes those individuals whose personal outright or cumulative giving has reached US $10,000. Major donor recognition is offered for contributions to the Annual Programs Fund, Permanent Fund, and Polio Plus campaign. MD1 = 1st Level Major Donor, MD2 = 2nd Level, etc.

Paul Harris Fellow

Individual who contributes or in whose honor or memory is contributed $1,000 to TRF Annual Programs Fund. PHF+1 = $2000, PHF+3 = $3000, etc.

Permanent Fund

An endowed fund of TRF established to ensure the long-term viability of TRF and its programs. Contributions are invested in perpetuity and a percentage of the total value of the fund is spent annually to benefit the programs of TRF.

TRF: The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International

A not-for-profit corporation providing ambassadorial scholarships, humanitarian grants to needy peoples and worthy projects, and educational awards for international exchanges of university scholars, teachers, and business and professional people. Objective: Achievement of world understanding and peace through international charitable and educational programs. Supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and others who share its vision of a better world.. Contributions to TRF’s Annual Programs Fund are invested for three years, with interest being used to cover all administrative costs. Fully 100% of every dollar donated supports program expenditures three years later. Gifts to the Foundation’s Permanent Fund are invested, with only the earnings being used to support programs.
