Andy Heinemann is in his fourth year as the CEO of Tucson Values Teachers. The organization was founded in 2008 as an education initiative of the Southern Arizona Leadership Council. The council is a business membership organization composed of more than one hundred-fifty business presidents and CEO’s.
Mr. Heinemann received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He followed that with a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.

Mr. Heinemann has been a classroom teacher for ten years and has twenty-three years of administrative experience. He served as an Assistant Principal in a K-8 School, an Elementary Principal for twelve years and finished out his career with six years as a Principal at a Middle School. During this time, he was able to build positive relationships, create a culture where people wanted to work and consistently increased student achievement.

Mr. Heinemann previously served on the Tucson Values Teachers Board of Directors and on the Raytheon Leaders in Education Awards selection committee. He has personally witnessed how the needs of education has drastically changed over the last three decades. He wants to continue his work in education by leveraging the resources and programs offered by Tucson Values Teachers and by collaborating with the business community to support all teachers.

Andy and his wife Shari have been married for thirty-two years and have raised three children: Kyla, Chloe and Luke.
