On May 4, 2018, Catalina was proud to welcome Elise Jumbelick as our newest member.

Below is an introductory bio that Elise was kind enough to provide:

I was born and raised in Yuma, AZ. I attended and graduated high school at Yuma High, home of the Criminals. I moved to Tucson in 2005 to attend the University of Arizona and graduated in 2009 with a bachelors in Retailing and Consumer Sciences. My goal at the time was to find a job at a non-profit but the recession didn’t let that happen.

My career background is super diverse. I’ve held positions ranging from a promotions assistant at a local radio station, to a manager at Old Navy, to a buyer for Alan’s Shoe House and many other jobs in between. After some life changing events in 2016, a retreat in 2017 and a particular job description continuously popping up, I made my move into the non-profit sector with my current job as Marketing and Communications Manager at Reachout Women’s Center.

I met my husband, James, in 2010 on a Tucson street corner. He was an Army recruiter and I was working a promotion with his office at a block party at the U of A. We got married in my grandparents’ backyard in 2012. We have three dogs (Scout, Roger and Tango) and a six toed cat name Kiowa.

On my spare time, I like to garden, craft, do home improvement projects, plan parties for friends, help a florist friend and wedding planner and volunteer at the Humane Society, where we also foster pets.

Welcome, Elise. We all look forward to getting to know you in the days ahead.
