Definition:

Persons who have distinguished themselves by meritorious service in the furtherance of Rotary ideals and those persons considered friends of Rotary for their permanent support of Rotary’s cause may be elected to honorary membership in this club. Honorary membership is the highest distinction that this club may bestow, and should be conferred only in exceptional cases, but may not be conferred upon an active member of one’s own club.

An honorary member is exempt from payment of fees and dues, has no vote, and may not hold office. However, an honorary member may attend all meetings and enjoy the privileges of the club. It shall be the policy of this Club to extend honorary membership for no more than one Rotary Year at a time and to vote at the Board’s regularly scheduled May meeting on the extension of such membership for an additional year.

Currently Sally Drachman and Dorothy Finley are Catalina Rotary’s Honorary Members.
